We are getting back to work but, we are not wasting our time or money on take out temptations and single use plastics. Getting ahead of the week by meal prepping helps to dial back the morning chaos meter. How I make it even easier? I meal prep while making dinner on Sunday. I'm already doing the work, so adding in the the meal prep here, doesn't feel like I'm taking more time out of my week to do it. These are the staples in my kitchen to making meal prep easy. Think of it as everything but the lunch box.

I love my closet. But, it wasn't always that way. For years, my work from home status meant old work t-shirts and Forever 21 clearance section finds made up most of my wardrobe. Listen, I was a broke college kid and a $5 outfit meant extra cash for green tea shots and vodka sodas. Priorities people! But, I'm a whole adult now with a closet that finally reflects that. I've swapped fast fashion for forever pieces and I'm NOT going back. You don't feel so bad when your SHEIN top rips in the wash, but I nearly took bereavement leave when one of my cashmere sweaters accidentally ended up in the dryer (RIP, still not over it.) You invested in your wardrobe glow up, now it's time to treat it like the luxury it is. Protect those splurges, cherish those upgrades and keep your closet looking as good as you do.

Raise your hand if you were personally victimized by the 2016 Beauty Youtube Community. Same. From 2016-2018 I maintained a Rouge status at Sephora and a Platinum status at Ulta SIMULTANEOUSLY while working as a waitress…yes, obviously I had a problem. But, I did learn a lot from that era and can now confidently say, these are the products that stood the test of time and will always be found in my makeup bag. Save your coins and stick to the essentials!

Nothing brings me greater joy than a margarita, chips and queso and some HOT gossip. But realistically, I cannot do this all the time. So, I get my fix in book form. The best memoirs feel like you are getting the craziest story about that one girl you both knew back in college on the patio of your favorite mexican restaurant. That's what you will find here. Certified page turners that you will struggle to put down.

Ironically, I would rather forego electricity than watch a single horror movie. (I know, I'm a wimp!) But to me, it's not about the morbid details, its about…people. Victims. I think it's important to memorialize their stories RESPECTFULLY. And in cases where the victim is still alive, and chooses to share their story, its a small way to show our support. True Crime is far from perfect, but I truly believe that there are good intentions and ways to support those using the genre for good. I've highlighted some of my personal picks here.

Okay, so I am not a huge fiction reader. But when I do venture to the other side of the book store, I want to be engulfed. It's got to do something for me or I'm putting it down 5 pages in. You aren't going to find your typical fantasy or romance reads here. That's just not my vibe. I'm all about the slightly creepy, unsettling or dystopian read. So if you love a story that you can get lost in, but leaves you with a little shudder up your spine when you're done, welcome. I've got just the thing for you.
