We spent one of our fall breaks in southeastern Utah and it was amazing! Our homebase was an Airbnb in blanding Utah and each day we had a new adventure. So much to see and do!

Mesa Verde National Park
Gooseneck state park is a great stop to have a picnic and take in the stunning views. There is no hiking but it offers a few camping spots. This was a quick stop for our family.
Goosenecks State Park
This was a fun stop for our little family! There were interactive things for the kids to do and see to appreciate the pioneer lifestyle and they also had ice cream for purchase!
Bluff Fort Historic Site
The drive to monument was a little far (nearly three hours) from blanding but it was worth it!
Monument Valley
On our way back from monument valley to blanding, we drove through the valley of the Gods. It was so beautiful at sunset!
Valley of the Gods
One of the most enjoyable hikes we have been on (and we have hiked a lot!) was at this national monument. The landscape has zebra stripes, There were stairs and ladders, and it was a blast for the whole family.

Bears Ears National Monument
We had a fun afternoon in this off-the-beaten-path location. We took a picnic lunch and a football. We played and explored.
Recapture Pocket- San Juan County’s Version of Goblin Valley
Less than a two hour drive from blanding, utah, canyonlands is a must! We drove to the south area of canyonlands. There were three family friendly hikes and so many stunning views!

Bryce Canyon is unreal! We celebrated Independence Day here and the stars made the best night time show!
Bryce Canyon National Park
Be sure to take plenty of water! Visiting in the springs and fall is the best to beat the heat. There are so many fun hikes here. Our family of 7 loves arches!
Arches National Park
We spent a day hiking here. Take plenty of water if you’re there in the summer. There were also some fun bike trails!
Kodachrome Basin State Park | Utah State Parks
Such a cool state park! It was a natural playground and there’s also a neat hike into a cave.
Goblin Valley State Park
We haven’t been here yet but it’s on our bucket list! I’ve had two sisters go and they loved it.
