I personally love renting a beach house on Weke Road in Hanalei. If you are looking to book a vacation rental, I recommend this business. It is the rental agency my family has always used. The staff is helpful and accommodating.

Float through 2.5 miles of historic canals. These canals use to irrigate sugar in the Lihue Plantation up until 2000. Get amazing views of ocean, coastline, mountains and valley.
Located on the South Shore, Poipu Beach is calm and beautiful. It also has a playground nearby making it perfect for kids.

This hike is stunning! Plan ahead because it is popular, but it is worth it!
I have not done this hike personally, but know people you have. This hike is not difficult and is great for families. It is 3 miles each way.
What to Bring

My daughter was 14 months when we went to Kauai. I didn't think I'd need a stroller and boy was I wrong. We picked this one up there, costing a lot more, and used it a lot. This one reclines a bit so napping on the go was easier.
