My Favorite Eye Drops & Ointments for Dry Eyes
Sharing my list of the eye drops and ointments I've found to bring relief to my dry eyes. My suggestion is to use drops during the day and ointments just before bed, as the thickness of the ointment will blur your vision for a while. A word of caution: my doctor said to stay away from the drops that “get the red out” as they are meant to be used sparingly, while the drops I've listed below can be used anytime you need relief.
I love how these make my eyes feel! Blink has a variety of eye drops based on the severity of your dry eyes.

Known as a trusted brand in eye drops, these will not disappoint. A good drop to soothe your dry eyes.
Systane Eye Drops
Refresh is a great brand and, if your eyes are very dry, you may want to go straight to the mega.
Refresh Eye Drops
Genteal is a brand my retina specialist recommended after my macular hole surgery. This is a thicker and you may want to use this in the evening just before bedtime.
GenTeal Lubricant Gel Severe Dry Eye
This was the first ointment I tried and it's very soothing and definitely is something you want to use at night as it will affect your vision.

Based on recommendations from licensed ophthalmologists, these are the vitamins and supplements I've tried to combat my dry eyes and maintain good eye health.
I use this particularly because of issues I've had with my retinas. While it's not specifically for dry eyes, this product does contain ingredients that eye doctors recommend for dry eyes like lutein.
Focus Factor for Macular Health
Lutein is known to help with dry eyes. There are several brands you can choose from to see which is right for you. This is thought to help protect your eyes from blue light.
