Plays 1960- present
1962-Amazing if your looking for strong female monologues or even for M/F scenes.
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee
1993- This play has several monologues for woman. A play about bridesmaids, friendships and woman's view on the world. This play does touch on some heavy hitting subjects so be prepared.
Five Women Wearing the Same Dress By Alan Ball
2006- A story about a family who lost their child and how they find a new normal with each other and life.
Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay- Abaire
2010- I would say this is a trunks and ladder play. Very ensemble, very creative. Could be really fun and cool. Viewpoints might be a good technique to use with this play.
Elephant's Graveyard by George Brant
2015- I love anything that London National Theatre does. This play follows Emma, and actress who is living her best life. She then ends up in rehab. The first step is to admit there is a problem but the problem isn't Emma- its everyone else. NT says ... I look forward to doing a monologue from this show.
People, Places and Things a book by Duncan MacMillan
2017- I feel like this show is for theatre people, almost a love letter to Will himself. Lauren Gunderson is an amazing playwright you will see several of her plays on this board.
Book of Will By Lauren Gunderson
2018- A continuation of Ibsen's A Dolls House. Nora returns home 15 years after she left. But what is she returning to and why. Good M/F scenes.
