We’ve been living the dorm life for a few years with my son Trevor so we’ve got some real experience. We fell for the fads the first year and bought a bunch of things he never used or needed, just took up space in an already tight environment. What’s included in this list are the tried and true items we’ve used that have worked out great for the last few years and a few new things we’ve added for his Freshman year of college at LSU in the fall. My current corporate role requires 75% travel, all across the southern states. If “Elite” statuses, platinum memberships, and travel perks bring convenience and upgrades, so should the equipment we utilize before the upgrades services begin. This list encompasses my day-to-day as I move along to the next airport for the next city, hotel, and rental experiences. This list is my absolute must haves as a corporate travel baddie. Late 2025, we sold our house and moved in with family. We share 1 bedroom when my son is home and these are the things that helped me make it work for the both of us to live comfortably with separate, but shared space.
