It is possible to teach children to read before they enter kindergarten. These products are suggestions to encourage early reading in children who haven’t entered elementary school but they help support emerging readers as well! I tried to teach my first son to read on my own but I was not successful. Now that he knows how to read after being in kindergarten I know how to teach my other kids - however I have to say temperament has a lot to do with it. My daughter doesn’t like to do “school” with me she wants to go to “real school” like her big brother. At a young age it’s important to be encouraging and fun and to foster a love of reading and learning rather than forcing them to learn.

Creating a designated free movement area in the main space of your home is great for baby to work on reaching their milestones, avoid container baby syndrome, and get into a routine of exploring and playing independently as well as with you near by of course! Having a comfortable and familiar space with all their favorite and fun things helps them work on learning and growing while you can step away and get things done or sit on the floor near by. I use strollers and wagons for as long as I can - it is safer for the kids and easier for me. As they get older they learn about being safe in the street and staying by me.
