Here is today’s thrift haul! I don’t get to go often but just giving you a taste of what you can find. I went to Salvation Army in Oswego, Illinois. I’ll be posting comparable links to what I found as well as what I actually paid in the thrift store! Thanks for watching

We got married in 2018 and these are the tried and true wedding vendors we used. We stayed true to our roots, shopped small and local. Everyone went above and beyond for our special day.

Its not over achieving! Its definitely doable and sets you up for success in potty training later on even if you are not able to ditch diapers just yet. Potty training under age two is all about elimination communication - that means parents watch the child’s cues and jump in with the potty! While you are at home you put the child in training underwear (not pull ups) watch and time them and put them on the potty. When you catch a pee or a poo in the potty make a big deal say good job, yay, you went pee pee in the potty etc and eventually it will click! After training both boys and girls - girls are a little easier because they talk sooner. That gives you an edge. However you can start before your child starts talking. It is not serious and it is not a flex but it is definitely possible to potty train your child before age 2! Try it and let me know how it goes

When I get my paws in a pair of flats that I love … I wear them until they fall apart. I don’t know why I do this perhaps it’s a bad habit of mine but if the shoe fits you may as well wear it. I can’t keep my eyes off these shoes on Amazon lately

Are you ever out going with the flow but your visit is cut short because it’s dinner time, someone has to pee, or there’s nowhere to sit? Have a picnic kit ready at home and you can stay out until sunset. Plan your dinner ahead of time and bring it with you. Enjoy the outdoors and keep the mess out of your kitchen.

Please share this list far and wide. After taking care of babies and toddlers for over five years I have tried everything that works and doesn’t! I always have these things in my at home pharmacy basket and stock up whenever I see a sale. During cold and flu season we go through a lot of medicine. These are tried and true items and many items listed are the generic version I have found they work just as well. Make sure to always read active ingredients as you can typically make your own version of an expensive remedy with exactly the same ingredients while getting more for your money and saving trips to the store. Treat fevers and testing right away and try to stay ahead of the pain and fever. Rest is important for kids to heal so keep them comfortable at night and get some rest yourself. Having sick kids at home is absolutely the worst but it is much easier when you know what medicines and solutions will work to help them feel better.

If your baby or toddler struggles with excema it can be absolutely tortuous for you and for them! I tried nearly every cream and soap - ultimately here are the things that worked for us. The tricky thing about excema is that it can be caused by so many factors and requires some experimenting to figure out a treatment plan / routine for you. The more you learn about it the easier you can help your baby!
