Toys (Ageless favorites)
It is so awesome to have a list of go-to toys for birthdays, holidays and gifts. I have found that these toys are mostly gender neutral and span a huge age range (4+). I have a 19 year old daughter and 6 year old boy. I've seen it all.

These are fun for the entire family. We like this basic kit but have also added some themed kits as fun additions. We've tried alternatives, but the official Magna Tiles are the best.
We have lots of legos, but the Minecraft ones are so fun as they include buildings, accessories and more. They are complex but not too hard for my 6 year old. I'd also say gender neutral and fun even if you are not a Minecraft fan.

Yes, they are messy, but they are so interactive. My son and husband just love having battles or setting up nerf target challenges. They both work up a sweat too. Great for winter indoor fun. Don't forget your safety glasses!
Ok. Every age, all genders, all occasions, these Squish Mallos are fun! There are so many to pick one. They make a great emotional hug or travel pillow and are just goofy. My daughter took one away to freshman year at college. They are great as gifts...

This is our favorite family game. I'd say ideal for kids with good math skills (10+). But even our 6 year old is tarting to grasp the concept and can team up with us. Timeless game that belongs on every coffee table.
This one is always at the top of the game closet. Top pick when the kids are planning game night. My 6 year old even offers to play banker and is loving the math of banking. It's fun, it's a classic, it's great for gifting.
A classic and go for the bigger pack. You can break the pack into gifts, just give your kiddo a few at a time or let them run wild. Combine with a spiral sketch book (also on my list) and enjoy hours of fun!
I love adding these to gifts. Boys and girls can always use a good sketch book with markers or crayons. Even great for adults. And quality matters. The pages are clean, great weight and tear out easily to showcase your little artist.
Who shouts Uno first! My 6-year old is really getting into this but we love it as a family. It's a classic. We play at home and take it with us on trips. Lots of fun in the package of a card game. Space saver!
