After living in the Maldives for 4 years, I have gotten to know the islands a bit better. From luxury resorts to affordable local islands. I have seen a couple of both. I love snorkeling and good food. If you want to get to know the locals go for a local island, or do island hopping and visit more than one island. For more luxury choose the resorts. You can’t go wrong with these in the Maldives.
