Day 1 - Shibuya & Harajuku
Your entertainment, dining, and shopping districts
Experience the busiest intersection in the world for yourself
Learn about the story behind the loyal dog Hachiko - there'll be a long line of people wanting to take pictures with him!
A place with tons of food stalls for a quick bite to eat or for satisfying your dessert craving
Head to the 11th floor of this department store for views of the city and a birds eye view of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing
Massive with 7 floors - there's a lot, but one of the best places to grab your souvenirs and find the widest selection of Kit Kat flavors

Just a department store, but it does have a pretty cool mirrored escalator in the entrance

Day 2 - Asakusa
Appreciate the shrines & parks
Spent a few hours here exploring the shrines & temples as well as shopping along the Nakamise-dori Street leading up to the temple - try drawing an Omikuji
This was a nice area right by the water to walk along and get a view of Tokyo Skytree
Right by the shrines - best melon pan I've had!
Experienced a tea ceremony where I tried Japanese sweets and learned how to make matcha. It's taught by a tea master with 20+ years of experience and a great experience especially if you enjoy matcha tea
7 grades of matcha ice cream by Sumida Park - try level 7!
Have to try the dango here on Nakamise shopping street, delicious!
Visit the 8th floor observation deck for a birds eye view over Senso-ji temple and the Nakamise-dori street
Day 3 - DisneySea
Spending a day at DisneySea
Easily get here via a direct bus from Shinjuku. Make sure to get there 30 min. - 1 hour before they open, as they'll start letting people in at 8:45AM. Once you're in, get priority passes to 3 popular rides in the Disney app
Day 4 - Tsukiji Outer Market & Ginza Shopping
The day for eating street food & shopping
Busy place to walk around and grab tons of street food - loved the Tamagoyaki egg and onigiri stand, you can find the famous cremia ice cream here too and tons of sushi, as well as strawberry daifuku to satisfy your sweet tooth
The place for shopping, some of my favorites included visiting: Uniqlo flagship store, Ginza Six for the rooftop garden, Ginza Kimuraya bakery, Itoya for stationary/office supplies, Loft for souvenirs, Muji, and 3Coins
Delicious sushi - make sure to head over 2 hours beforehand to grab your ticket and reserve your spot on their waitlist
Day 5 - Shinjuku & teamLab
Experiential & nightlife
One of my absolute favorite experiences in Tokyo. It truly is an experience that involves all your senses, and some of the exhibits were like nothing I've ever seen before
Head to the basement of this department store and find tons of dessert & food stalls
Another narrow alleyway with tons of food stalls. Grab yakitori or ramen here!

Located in Tokyo's red light district, this place lights up at night
Day 6 - Kamakura Day Trip
A day trip out of the city for visiting shrines, parks & temples
Only ~1 hour from Tokyo, where there's a direct line from Shinjuku. Amazing place with beautiful shrines, parks & shops and food stalls
My favorite temple of the day - the surrounding garden is beautiful, and the top has great coastal views of the city
Small temple known for their bamboo grove that you can walkthrough
The street right off the subway line where you can eat street food and shop for souvenirs
Legend has it that if you wash your money in the cave here, your money will grow
Loved walking through this shrine and spotting the white foxes
The famous big buddha in Kamakura - you can also go inside
Grabbed udon here before heading back to Shinjuku and it was delicious! Make sure to bring cash
Day 7 - Sky High City Views & an Owl-themed Café
When in Tokyo, do at least one themed café!
Head up to the 45th floor for free views of Tokyo - be prepared to wait in line
The best 360 panoramic view of Tokyo. If you get tickets for time slots before 3PM, the bar couches are open for anyone to sit on and enjoy the views
SO much fun visiting this owl café. You learn how to pet each owl, and it was fun getting to interact with each one. You can also feed and hold them, and the owners will tell you the story behind each owl.
When in Tokyo, try soufflé pancakes at least once
