My favourite alternative rock albums, not most acclaimed by critics or people, just I like them. Join me and the most important thing, if you have never listened to them, stream or buy these margnificient songs and albums
The first album of this band Third Eye Blind was a huge hit, best songs of their career was in this record. It's a “must” thing
Third Eye Blind
who does not remember Inside Out? Ever listened? Please, take a break and listen to it. A good album!!
Eve 6
Mazzy Star!!!Lynch was a very influential person, as in movies as in music. Dream pop was getting mainstream and Mazzy Star delivered one of its finest songs called “Fade into you”. A extraordinary song you could relax, think…whatever you prefer…
So Tonight That I Might See
A new british invasion ocurred in 90's but Bush were different, less pop and more alternative rock, they included more hard rock and distorted sounds. Glycerine is a beautiful sound that bring us calm and relaxation.
Sixteen Stone Red
a band not sufficiently recognised Tonic. They played a beautiful mix in the late 90's, their iconic music videos were samples of that.
Lemon Parade Black
if you have ever played guitar, everybody was obsessed with the intro of Lightning crashes. I pecially recomend this record, it's beautifully recorded, with much more attention to details than usual
Throwing Copper 25th Anniversary
Desesperately wanting is a song you shoiuld listen to. Better than ezra is a band that we could say is the typical band sounding in college campus, but the formula works
Friction, Baby (TAN VINYL)
Courtney Love delivered beautiful songs and rhythms. This was her most important album, she finally got a hit and it's a really, really good album
Celebrity Skin
Psychedelic rock in the middle of 90s? Yeah, it's possible, Blind Melon made it! What can I say about “No rain”, it was their best song and an unforgettable music video whan MTV was still palying music videos
Blind Melon
Scott Weiland's powerful vocals in a hard rock band with so many influences. It's difficult to explain if this band is grunge, hard rock, alternative but it's one of many jewels in 90's music. You don't regret when you buy this gem.
Core 2017
Stone Temple Pilots’ acclaimed 1994 album, Purple. Includes the hits “Vasoline”, “Interstate Love Song” and “Big Empty”. Absolutely masterwork.
Purple
Yeah, I know, the band seemed the next best thing but their career has been irregular, but don't worry. This album mixed the sound of Southern rock and '90s sound.
Yourself Or Someone Like You
Hits `Hey Jealousy', `Until I Fall Away', `Found Out About You' and `Allison Road. This album is a real master piece of alt rock
New Miserable Experience
Widely considered to be one of the best albums of the 90s, iconic hit singles "Nightswimming," "Man on the Moon" and 90's anthem, "Everybody Hurts."
Automatic For The People
I love this album. Spoonman, Black hole sun (who does not recall this music video?). do you want to live like 90's? It is started with this record
Soundgarden
This album includes "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" & “Stupid Girl”. I think Garbage was one the most important bands after grnge was fading away in the late 90's.
Garbage 20th Anniversary Deluxe
It contains a super hit like “Bound for the floor”. Sadly, the band didn't get attention that they deserved.
As Good As Dead
Seattle's Harvey Danger, however, deserved the buzz that their debut CD generated. Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone? was quite simply one of the best local records released in 1997. Harvey Danger have drawn all the worthwhile elements from '90s in...
Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?
These three songs `Buddy Holly', `Undone' and `Say It Ain't So' - this debut album brought Weezer mainstream success
Weezer Blue
This band deserves some credit. A debut album including a song “Shine”, what else could you ask for?
Hints, Allegations & Things Left Unsaid
They make an album like low, it's hard, sweaty, but give 'em an opportunity
Low
Dizzy Up the Girl is their sixth studio album. In most parts of the world, Dizzy Up the Girl is the Goo Goo Dolls' most successful album to date, selling over three million copies (3x platinum certified). Goo Goo Dolls is a fantastic band and you sho...
Dizzy up the Girl
What an attitude, they had a front woman and it was a remarkable band from England.
Elastica
Singles like ''My Own Worst Enemy'', ''Zip-Lock'' and ''Miserable''. It was a fantastic album in a specific time of our lives.
Place in the Sun
This album cover must be remembered. The album yielded the mega-hit ‘Runaway Train’.
