Regardless if you breastfeed or not you will need to use breast pads as you will find that milk will still leak for a few days after.

I found my lips became quite dry. Between a mixture of the wards being warm and being dehydrated from the gas, my lips dried out very fast which wasn't ideal when i was already uncomfortable

I bought a good quality flannel with me. Obviously I used it to wash my face and freshen up but I also used it on my head during labour to cool me down as you do get very warm

Having your hair tied back with a bobble definitely helps more then you think! There is nothing worse than having hair all over you when you're trying to get through contractions or have a baby!

These are also a great addition to the hospital bag! It saves you messing around straight after birth trying to put pads on. You can just slip these on and carry on. They're so comfortable and not at all obvious
