Schluter® Thin-set Mortar
Need for all home improvement projects, Including tiling! You need the grout lines on walls to be level and therefor you need the tiles to be in level lines. You need floors to be level before tiling or have a small slope to a drain.

2 minimum- Need (1) for mixing mortar, and (1) for a water bucket for grout. If you mix your own grout, you need 3.

If you need to level any of the floors you are going to tile, this is diy friendly. However, if you are using this on wood subfloor, you will need to paint on a primer first. The primer is in this same list.

These spacers are awesome if your tiles are a uniform thickness. Which most are. However, when we use slate tile this spacer system will not work.

Schluter recommends the v shaped trowel for there products. I have only ever had the 1/4 inch square trowel and it has worked well for me! This one will be great for most of the project.

The 1/8 inch spacers are the perfect grout line to me. The half circle spacers I love because they allow different for how to use them with uneven tiles.

These are the best spacers to use if you are using uneven tile. Tiles like slate that have varying thicknesses cannot be done with the self leveling tile spacers.

Grouting
I apply 2 coats of this to my tile before I grout. This helps the tile release the grout when you wipe during the grouting process to help prevent grout haze.

These make great grout bags. I put about a fist full of grout in the bag, cut the corner off with scissors and squeeze the grout into the spaces between the tiles! Then I go through with the float and sponges!

Finishing touches
This is the perfect finishing touch. You use painters tape on both sides of every edge in the tiling space. Then use this caulk. It looks like grout but acts like caulk. Makes all the corners and edges look nice and waterproof.

Use painter’s tape on both sides of every edge that you plan on using sanded caulk. Peel the tape while the caulk is still wet.
