Here is a list of baby must haves for your baby. These are the things that I found essential and used with both of my children.
You will definitely need diapers. I used the target brand for my kids and they work great. Obviously, use what works best for you and your lil one.

Burp cloths are great for a variety of things. Burping, cleaning up spit up, and even breastfeeding. I found the Carter burp cloths work the best. They are soft and very absorbent. They also clean well.

Baby clothes are a must, and foot pajamas are great for everyday. They are easy to put on and keep baby comfy and warm. The ones with the built-in gloves and two-way zippers are the best.

Make sure to also have some short sleeve onsies available for warmer weather or just some variety in their clothes.

If you have a car, you will need an infant carseat or transition seat. I like getting the infant carseat because it easily comes in and out of the car and can click into a stroller base. This way, you don't need to disturb baby if they are sleeping.

If you have getting an infant carseat, you don't need this right away but will need it when they grow out of the infant carseat. This will take them up to when they can sit in the seat on their own.
Convertible Car Seats - Target
You will need somewhere to change your baby. I like the munchkin changing pad because it is affordable, a good size, and easy to move to different locations.
Diaper Changing Pads - Munchkin
Changing pad liners are not only good for easy clean up of the changing pad. They are good for diaper changes on the go, and midnight diaper changes when you don't want to go over to the changing pad area.

A portable changing pad is great to have in the car. Just stock it up whenever it is running low and keep it in the car so you are covered whenever you go out.

I loved these booties instead of socks. They are easy to put on, are non-slip, and I never had an issue with my kids taking them off.

Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding, you will want to have some bottles. It makes it easier if your partner can also take turns with feeding baby. It also helps with them bonding as well.
