These are the items that I think are essential postpartum and during pregnancy.
These types of night gowns are perfect for postpartum recovery. They are easy to put on, if you are breastfeeding or pumping they allow access and doctor and nurses will be able to assist easily as well. Definitely a must have

A good pregnancy pillow really helps with sleep during pregnancy. This is just one types but recommend finding one that suits your sleep position.

I like that this pillow is smaller and can easily be used to support the belly or relieve round ligament pain by placing between legs. Also helped provide back support postpartum while breastfeeding.
Wedge Pillows For Pregnancies
I find a birth ball or large yoga ball great through out pregnancy but especially during early labor.
Exercise Balls & Accessories
A large tumbler with a straw is great throughout pregnancy to stay hydrated but it also very useful during labor and postpartum. Highly recommend one with a handle to make it easier to hold.

This may also be provided to you at the hospital but it is great for pain relief and discomfort postpartum.
Dermoplast - Walmart
When the usual nausea remedies did not work these bands really helped to lessen the nausea and prevent vomiting.
Sea-Band
A good pair of pregnancy pants are great for helping to supporting the belly as it grows and are comfortable.
Maternity Yoga Pants | Old Navy
A belly band is great for helping support the belly as it grows and I like this for if you do not have maternity pants or like to wear dresses. You can wear it under dresses or skirts and still get support like you would with the pants.

This peri bottle is a postpartum essential! I loved it for taking care of myself, and I get one for all my friends when they get pregnant. My hospital did provide one, but this one gives you a bit more control and is easier to use.
Peri Bottle - Target
A stool softener is great postpartum to help with any discomfort passing stool. I didn't have this for my first, but it made a huge difference with my second. Highly recommend.
Walgreens
These really help with the healing process. You may be provided some while in the hospital, but if not, I recommend picking some up for home.
If you are breastfeeding, you will need nursing pads. Target ones worked great for me. It doesn't need to be fancy. Just get what works for you.

If you plan to breastfeed, you will need nursing ads. You are going to leak, and it will be at unexpected times. Especially at night and in the mornings when there are longer stretches of time between feedings.

If you are breastfeeding, these nursing tanks are great! They are so comfortable and provide good support. I have them in every color.
Nursing Tank Tops - Target
Absolutely love this waist trainer and wish I had used it sooner during postpartum. It provides great back support and tummy control. It's comfortable and flexible and adjustable to your comfort level. It is good for C-sections as well.
