It was a really exciting moment when I first got my own easel. Love that this is convertible, and pretty lightweight so easy to move around.

These come in a variety of sizes. This size is great for blending but for smaller areas on the canvas.

What I like to paint on.
When I first got started with oil painting I opted for a value pack of canvases so that I can play and experiment stress free. This is a great value pack for that. I started with 16x20 inch canvases (not too big and not too small)

Tools
The tools I use when painting landscapes with oil paints
Palette knives are great for mixing/blending paints and for painting directly on the canvas. I love experimenting with the different types and sizes and seeing what I can create. This is a great little starter set. I use it regularly when painting.

I own the large size of these butcher tray and it works so well as a paint palette. Super easy to wipe clean with paint thinner. Very pleased with this versus a plastic palette.

Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits - 33.8 oz
Blend this with your oil paints to speed up drying. A little goes a long way. I'm still using the first bottle I got a couple years back.

What I Wear while Painting
What I like to wear to protect my clothes and hair while painting.
To keep my hair out of the way while painting I like to wear a silk style scarf. Somehow it also just feels more painterly and I love it!
