It's no secret that in the past 6 years I have become a crazy cat lady. It started with two kittens I brought home from a stray at our warehouse in 2020. In 2024 a little black cat started running around outside. Of course I fed her. I thought it was a boy, we named him Cooper DeJean. Not knowing what I know now about TNR, she brought me 3 kittens. I fed them and cared for them through the summer. In the fall I FINALLY caught cooper to have her fixed. Upon return, they told me she had to be released immediately because she had just given birth. OH NO! So two litters I trapped and had fixed but this was a problem. It was a bitter NJ winter. I did not have the heart to put little kittens in that freezing cold. Three were friendly and two I was able to find homes for. Three needed socialization. Well they are a year old this month and semi socialized but still live in my finished walk out basement!
