We live in a windy corridor between two buildings near school. My kids' umbrellas used to invert every single morning until I switched to these.

Nothing worse than your kid losing an umbrella because it didn't fit in their bag and they left it on the cafeteria table. These actually fold small enough to stuff inside.

Half the battle is getting a seven-year-old to actually USE the umbrella instead of running through puddles. Slap their favorite character on it and suddenly they're excited about rain.

Younger kids kept walking into things because they couldn't see past their umbrella. Bubble style fixed that problem overnight — now they actually watch where they're going.

When my middle kid went through a phase of crying every rainy morning, I found umbrellas that change color when wet. Suddenly rain was exciting instead of miserable.

My youngest couldn't hold a regular umbrella without dragging it on the ground. Had to find ones light enough for a three-year-old's grip strength.

When daylight saving ended last fall, my kids were walking to the bus in near-darkness. Regular umbrellas made them basically invisible to cars — never again.

Coordinating the umbrella with boots saved me twenty minutes of morning arguments. When everything matches, my kids just grab and go.

Wet textbooks, soggy permission slips, damp laptops — my kid's regular umbrella only covered her head while her backpack got drenched. These are wide enough to cover everything.

My kids don't gently place anything anywhere. Their umbrellas get shoved, dropped, stepped on, and crammed into spaces they don't fit. These actually survived that treatment.

Sometimes they lose them no matter what. I keep a stash of affordable backups so a lost umbrella doesn't ruin my week or my wallet.
