My old chrome one literally fell off the wall twice. The second time it took a chunk of drywall with it. These mount solid and look like they belong in a hotel.

Spent $12 on my first matte black towel bar and the finish started chipping within a month. Learned the hard way that you get what you pay for with coatings.

Replaced my showerhead first and honestly that single swap made me want to redo everything else. It was like putting on new shoes with old pants, suddenly the rest looked dated.

The faucet is the thing you touch most in a bathroom. Once mine was matte black, the chrome soap dispenser next to it looked ridiculous. One swap leads to another.

Hung a black-framed mirror after all the fixtures were done and suddenly the room had a focal point. Before that, my frameless mirror just floated there looking like it belonged in a gym locker room.

Had a brass light bar from 1997 with those round globe bulbs. Replaced it with matte black and suddenly the room didn't look like a sepia photograph anymore.

Once the big fixtures were done, the little chrome things stuck out like sore thumbs. Soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, all of it. Replaced them in one order and the room finally felt complete.

Didn't have room for a full towel bar behind the door, so hooks became the solution. Mounted three in a row and it holds more than the bar ever did.

Changed every fixture to matte black but left the vanity pulls chrome. Looked bizarre for two weeks until I finally ordered new pulls and kicked myself for not doing it first.
