Most schools still have their own supply lists, however, these are things we are always running out of, and it would be so nice to have an excess supply.
This would make my life so much easier as an assistant teacher! I love that it's small and can be stuck right in their science lab journal, instead of me, trying to scribe for all six of my students.
Some thing I have learned about sixth grade students is that they no longer want to use glue sticks. They LOVE scotch tape! And they tape EVVVEERRRYYYYTHHIINNGG!!!
Despite tape being the preferred method of "stick" by students, we do insist on glue sticks. They always run out and they always get lost!
They do eventually learn, but sixth graders LOVE to write on every third page... I can't tell you how many composition notebooks I have supplied in my 14 years as a teacher🤦🏻♀️

Please do not send your child to school with a filler paper that is not reinforced! My time can be spent helping your child with math concepts, instead of using 6 sticker reinforcements ON EACH PAGE, to fix the pages as they fall out of their binder....

This is just an example, but every sixth grade student should have a paperback reading book with them at all times. Our students are in front of a screen more and more so to have a paperback book as a nice break for their eyes.
It is part of my job to wipe down our students desks DAILY.. PLEASE. SEND. WIPES🙏🙏🙏

We can tell when your child has had a bad morning and refused to eat breakfast. In our classroom, we always have Nutri-Grain bars, goldfish, cereal, boxes, and protein bars. ANY snack that you donate to your child's classroom is greatly appreciated!!
