I have personally tested over 300 minimalist shoes (road run, trail run, casual, dress, and travel) since 2010 for Wear Tested Gear Review and Natural Running Center. And have been a runner for over 30 years… High cushioned, narrow, 8mm drop running shoes killed my knees and lower back. Minimalist running shoes saved me - wide, zero to 4mm drop, low cushioning.
