Obviously books about dogs, and most of these dogs are loyal to, so books about loyalty.
As you might know from my other lists, I also love dystopian stories, and this is one. It is a great read, and I don't know anyone - (I've surveyed a bookclub of 10!) - who doesn't love it regardless of their taste in books
A Boy and his Dog at the End of the World by C. A. Fletcher
This is a mystery with some undercover work going on. It is a lighter read than the last book, and will definitely cheer you up.
A Pedigree to Die For (Melanie Travis Series #1)
This is one of my favourite books ever! I can't say on here what this dog thinks of squirrels - but you will find out.
The Last Dog on Earth|Paperback
This is about a 200 year dog, and is just brilliant. There are some circus dogs, some cats too. Please also buy some tissues with this book, you will need them.
Tomorrow: A Novel|Paperback
This is next on my list to read, and looking forward to it. I can see they are about to make a film of this book too.
The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein

These are books about animals that live in the wild - or your garden!
This will make you see bees in a whole other light. Although it's a few years since I read it, I still remember this book well because it is so well written and absorbing as you get into the life of Flora the bee.

This sounds right up my street - it's set on an apocolyse and seems to involve the walking dead, so this has me hooked already - buy the way the crow is the hero
Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton
This is an old one, but read it if you haven't. Those poor rabbits.
Watership Down by Richard Adams
