The essentials
These are all must have items for me. Every child needs a fun backpack, a good lunch box, and a decent cup for water!
This is our second year with this backpack and it still looks brand new. I had her name embroidered on the pocket for an extra touch of cuteness. We use the small size for preschool. It has 2 cupholders, a large pocket and a smaller front pocket. If ...
Mackenzie Heritage Pink Dinos Backpacks
This is my favorite lunch box for toddlers! It keeps everything cold, it’s spill proof and my daughter loves that’s none of the food is touching. We own 2 of these and I wouldn’t use anything else.
These are my favorite cups for both of my kiddos. They hold about 12 ounces of liquid. The straw comes completely apart making it easy to clean in the dishwasher. The top part of the straw is soft so I never worry about them running around with these...
Bop 12oz Leakproof Kids Tumbler with Optional Straw, Set of 2 – Ello
These are an absolutely must have in my house. I use the snack size to pack my daughter’s snack for school without having added waste. We use the bigger sizes to pack a change of clothes or a collection of snacks if we’re on the go.
Reusable Ziplock Bags
For the classroom
Our school had a small list of things they wanted us to provide, but I like to add in some fun items as well. These are all things I bought for my daughter’s classroom and will replenish throughout the year!
Dot markers are a huge wish list item for preschool. They do all sorts of fun art projects with these markers. They’re a little bit larger so it’s easier for little hands to grasp. Plus, the tip of the marker is flat, so you don’t have to worry about...
Dot Markers
These blunt scissors allows for toddlers to practice their cutting skills without the worry of hurting themselves. They are still sharp and should be used with supervision!
Blunt Tip Scissors
Another big wish list item is large crayons. They are hard to break and easier for small hands to hold. I probably buy about 10 boxes per year!
Large Crayons
This feels like a no brainer. Play doh is a great way for kids to learn tactile skills. Plus, all the accessories make it so fun! I normally provide 5 8-packs of play doh per year.

Our school goes through so much kinetic sand per year! It’s an absolute favorite with the kids because they get to play dirty without all the mess. It comes in so many fun colors. We provide about 5 bags per year.
Kinetic Sand
The preschool goes through a TON of baby wipes keeping all those sweet kiddos clean. My favorite wipes are these honest wipes because they are gentle on sensitive skin. I usually grab a big or two when I can.
Honest Company Clean Conscious Multi-Use Wipes
With the start of a new school year, it’s no secret that the spread of germs starts early. We try to help stop the spread by providing Clorox wipes to keep everything clean.
Clorox Disinfecting Wipes Value Pack 75 Ct
This is another no brainer! I’d much rather provide a million boxes of Kleenex instead of my child using her sleeve to wipe her nose. I usually grab a few big packs as we get closer to winter.
Kleenex
Fun Extras
Although not requested, I find teachers love getting a roll of stickers. They come in handy when you have to coax kids to go potty or clean up their mess.
Smiley Face Stickers
This is another item that’s not normally asked for but greatly appreciated! Gummies are a great reward for children when needed. Annie’s are my favorite!
