Brunch is my favorite time to go. It can get packed if you go on a Holiday so plan ahead and make reservations. It’s also really fun to go in the evening for a cocktail in the bar. It’s like a cozy living room at your friends house.

Ok, this is a Pasadena landmark! Get ready to go back in time and sit in a diner type setting. The menu is basic but it has everything you need for comfort food. My favorite is Tuna Melt and Blackberry Pie! Although pie flavors change seasonally.

Since we have great weather most of the year, you get plenty of chances to sit outside at El Portal! On the weekends, they have Mexican musicians play on the patio area. The menu is great and the cocktails are too! Highly recommend!
