So you wanna shop sustainable fashion, but you wanna do it in person? Here are my favorite places to go in LA!
this store JUST opened Feb 1st at the Century City Mall & it features a bunch of independent brands / small businesses (and I might be biased bc you can find my brand here!)
Atlas Store
I feel like there's very few sustainable brands that have store fronts, but whimsy & row has been at it for 8+ years! I've gone to a few events hosted by them and their store & pieces are so cute!
Whimsy and Row
the Suay shop in LA is arguable the most sustainable place to go - they recycle textiles, do community dye baths, upcycle clothing, & sell pieces as well!
SUAY: Remade in L.A.
we all know renting is a great option for getting something “new” sustainably (especially for events) so here's a place to go for that!
OpenClosit
if you're looking for more high-end / luxury pieces, the Real Real has great secondhand options!
The RealReal: Buy & Sell Designer Clothes, Bags, Shoes ...
I don't know what it is about this specific flea market, but they always have the best secondhand stuff!
Silverlake Flea
LA Vintage Wholesale has monthly (maybe bi-monthly) warehouse sales where you can get LOADS of vintage pieces for super cheap! Definitely a lot of digging involved, but if that's your vibe - you'd love it!
LA Vintage
this is more so for the granola girls, but Parks Project has a cute store in Culver City and all of their pieces are produced sustainably!
Parks Project | National Parks Apparel & Gear Made with ...
this is a once a month ordeal BUT it is arguably the best flea market in the LA area - I've gotten some of my favorite secondhand pieces here!
Rose Bowl Flea Market
wolf & badger hosts a bunch of independent designers and you can always find super unique pieces here!
Los Angeles Store | Wolf & Badger
I feel like reformation is everyone's gateway brand into sustainable fashion and honestly, they always have great pieces!
Reformation
this is specifically bridal, but it's fully vintage!
Happy Isles
another great sustainable brand with a cute store front on Abbott Kinney
Christy Dawn - Regenerative, Ethical & Timeless Dresses ...
this flea market is a bit pricier and more “trendy” but also has some really great secondhand finds!
Melrose Trading Post
this is one of the smaller flea markets in the area but it always has a really good list of vendors!
