I lived down the street from this restaurant and went more times than I can count because I'd take anyone that visited me here and it truly is 10/10 - I recommend getting the pasta in the cheese wheel!!

my italian professors said that any stores that display their gelato in huge mountain form are touristy and not good - so this was a rec they shared with us!

my italian professors also said that the absolute best gelato shops are the ones that keep them closed off in their metal tins - so you know this is a good one!

This is my favorite coffee shop in Florence! I love coffee, but I will say their chai lattes are to die for

if you're a fashion enthusiast, I highly recommend the Gucci Garden! Gucci was founded in Florence so it's kind of their homage to the city

I can't talk about Florence without talking about the main cathedral - it's impossible to miss, but I recommend going up to the top of the duomo, you get such a beautiful view of the whole city!
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
You can't miss walking along the Ponte Vechio, but I do recommend crossing the other bridges and taking a picture from there so you actually get this bridge in the background! It's also a lot less crowded that way
Ponte Vecchio
if you're tired of the carbs and need a little healthy food break - this was my go to spot! Their banana bread is also to die for
Shake Café Firenze
I discovered this little cafe way too close to the end of my study abroad but it's so cute and a bit out from the main hustle and bustle of the city

if you want a little rooftop moment, the Rinascente has a beautiful rooftop restaurant!

this is a nice little hidden gem behind the duomo (can you tell I really loved gelato lol)
Edoardo il Gelato Biologico - Gelateria Piazza Duomo
this whole plaza has so many little bars and restaurants - great place for a little aperitif! Also it gets so lively at night, definitely more local than the other plazas
Piazza Santo Spirito
personally, I could walk around an art museum all day and not get bored so if you're like that - this is one you don't want to miss
Uffizi Galleries
you can't go to Florence and not see our man, David
Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze
the central market has so many great food options - especially great if you want to try a little bit of everything instead of committing to one single restaurant
