You definitely can! Just like anyone can cook, you can learn too! I just picked it up and I love everything there is to it. WARNING: it requires patience and lots of trips to hobby lobby or your local thrift or fabric store to get cheap fabric! :) I made a list of everything I have and everything I actually use!
