There's always someone with something to prove...on the dancefloor. In musicals they sing and dance their feelings, in this sub-genre there is only dance.
One of the first films to bring hip hop into the mainstream. An absolute cheesy delight.
Breakin'
A ridiculous, unnecessary sequel which all unnecessary sequels are likened to. Love it!
Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo
Fun film about a young dancer/choreographer trying to make it in the very modern world of dance.
Breaking Through
A dance movie that really tries to set itself apart. One of my favorites and still one of the coolest ballet/jazz fusion finales I've ever seen.
Center Stage
One girl really wants to get into the school from the first film. Enjoyable follow-up.
Center Stage: Turn It Up
The school from the first film needs to diversify. I might like this even more than the second.
Center Stage: On Pointe
Another another quintessential classic. The story itself hasn't exactly aged well, but it still has relevant themes. Besides, no body can put Baby in the corner and THE LIFT!!!!
