Outdoor Activities
The best spots to get outdoors!
One of the top Regional Parks in OC! With a zoo, train, playgrounds, and bikes, you won't get bored. Bring a lunch to relax under some trees and spend the day. Fun fact: they host a farmers market on Tuesday, so parking is free until 3pm!
Irvine Regional Park
An easy day hike to a fun photo op! The views are not only beautiful, but the trail can be done easily within an hour.
Pumpkin Rock Trail, California - 2751 Reviews, Map - AllTrails
With a variety of playgrounds, trees, boats, & bikes, you can find something to do for the whole family! This park has coverings you can rent for special events or plenty of trees to stay covered!
Yorba Regional Park
A great day hike! There are two routes you can take, one to the waterfall and one up a big hill. I do not recommend going at night as it can be a bit scary. During the day there is lots of trees!
Black Star Canyon Falls Trail, California - 8568 Reviews, Map
A small zoo with big animals! This spot is a great place for kids of all ages! They offer a playground for littles to enjoy. They recently had some remodeling to help improve the park! You can expect to spend 3+ hours among the animals.
Santa Ana Zoo
Restaurants
Some of my personal favorite places to eat from the beach up to the mountains!
The best and oldest restaurant on Balboa Island! Fun fact: John Wayne would often visit and pour his own drinks behind the bar. When you visit, you have to try the Clam Chowder! It has been passed down for generations and truly is delicious.
The Village Inn
One of our favorites! The Old Spaghetti Factory really is the best bang for your buck. With locations all over, you are sure to find your favorite! Ours is Fullerton because it's next to the train station!
The Old Spaghetti Factory
This place is hard to find nowadays! With less locations available, I'm glad to have one in Ontario! Although a bit pricey, kids will love to feel like they are eating in the wild! 10/10 recommend the lava cake for dessert!
Rainforest Cafe
Indoor Activities
I grew up going to the science museum and now have the opportunity to take my kids! It is filled with fun & learning experience for kids of all ages! They often do special themes during certain months, so look at their website to check what is go...
Discovery Cube Home - Discovery Cube
Fun for all the kids! Allow them to have imaginative play and feel grown up in their own city! This is a favorite with all kids. They occasionally have deals, so check their website!
Pretend City Children's Museum
So much fun! This is one of my favorite indoor activities for kids. They limit the amount of kids allowed in every hour so it's never overly crowded. You can pay for the standard 1 hour or more! They offer a membership as well.
Romp-o-Rama
Theme Parks
One of the best budget friendly theme parks on Orange County! This place is great for kids ages 2-10. They have a train, roller coaster, and everything in between!
Adventure City
The happiest (and most expensive) place on Earth! This is for sure a special treat, however they do occasionally have good ticket deals! They have added so much in the last few years, you could spend multiple days here!
Disneyland Park
People often forget about Legoland! They offer two onsite hotels, as well as a water park and aquarium! You can easily do the park in one day. Even if your toddler isn't big into legos yet, they will still have a blast! I recommend this for ages 3-12...
LEGOLAND California
One of our favorites! With a mix of rides, aquariums, and shows, there will be fun for the entire family! Spring or Fall are the best times to visit. Be sure to ride Shipwreck Rapids, just be ready to get wet!
