An oldie but a goodie! The Frog Princess is a fun, magical twist on the classic tale. Princess Emeralda gets turned into a frog, faces wild adventures, and yes—this book inspired Disney’s The Princess and the Frog.

Artemis Fowl Series by Eoin Colfer
This series really stands out to me! Very nostalgic transition since I studied greek mythology growing up. These books follow Percy, a kid who discovers he’s a demigod, as he goes on quests filled with monsters, gods, and plenty of humor. The series ...
Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan
Riddell's illustrations are whats most memorable to me about this series, very unique story. The Edge Chronicles by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell is a darkly whimsical fantasy series set in The Edge, a world balanced on the side of a massive cliff. ...

You've heard of the cats but have you heard of the bears? I read these books religiously growing up, but even back then I recognized the story telling WASN'T the best- but I still loved the characters. Seekers takes readers on a journey through the e...
Seekers Series by Erin Hunter
This 13-book series follows the unlucky Baudelaire orphans as they try to outwit the villainous Count Olaf, who’s after their fortune. Darkly funny and cleverly written, the books mix absurd humor with real tragedy, making them unlike any other child...
