I used to go through a whole match re-gripping my paddle with my shirt. These overgrips changed how I play on hot days, and I stopped losing points because of slippery handles.

Sometimes tape alone isn't enough when it's genuinely hot outside. I started adding grip enhancers after a paddle literally flew out of my hand and almost hit someone on the next court.

The factory grip on most paddles is basically decorative. Swapping it out was the single biggest improvement I made before I even tried overgrips.

Realized my grip problem wasn't just about the paddle. Half the moisture was running down my forearm onto my hand. Blocking that flow made a bigger difference than I expected.

Nobody told me that how you finish wrapping your grip matters almost as much as the grip itself. Spent months with overgrips unraveling mid-match before I figured this part out.

Cleaning your handle between grip changes sounds boring, but skipping it is why my grips used to slide around on the handle itself. Five minutes of prep saves a lot of frustration.
