Before I found a decent bath seat, I was hunched over the tub holding my daughter with one arm like some kind of contortionist. My back was wrecked. These changed everything about how bath time works in our house.

Our tub was basically an ice rink. I put my baby in a seat and the whole thing slid two inches. Adding a proper mat underneath was the fix I didn't know I needed.

The first time I poured water over my baby's head without a shield, she screamed so loud the neighbor texted to check on us. Never again.

We cycled through four different baby washes before finding ones that didn't make bath time a tear factory. Turns out ‘tear-free’ on the label doesn't always mean tear-free in practice.

A still baby is a washable baby. The secret to getting shampoo rinsed and armpits cleaned is giving them something interesting enough to sit still for 90 seconds.

Nothing ruins a good bath faster than a freezing baby the second you pull them out. Our bathroom is drafty and my daughter would shiver and cry every single time until I upgraded our towel situation.

Reaching across the bathroom for soap while holding a wet baby is how accidents happen. Getting everything within arm's reach before the bath starts was the single biggest safety upgrade we made.
