Measuring 0.50mm to 1.60mm wide these Shank Drill bits are ideal for drilling holes in precious metal for jewellery applications, and can also be used to drill holes in plastic and wood.
Made from high quality tool steel, whilst being highly flexible, the working part of these drill bits is vary from 10mm to 12mm, which is the deepest this drill can produce a hole.

Using cooling liquid such as drilling oil or 'Burr Life lubricant' (998 021) will improve tool life.
Whilst using a cooling liquid we also recommend a drill speed of 5000 -8000.

A greasy substance used for the lubrication of steel burrs, piercing blades, drills etc. Helps prevent 'chatter' and aids in the smooth cutting of materials - also prolongs the life of the burr.

Vallorbe Glardon jewellers saw blades are high quality, Swiss made saw blades. They have straight, uniform sharp teeth, and retain their flexibility.
Vallorbe saw blades are made from the highest quality steel, making them less likely to break whilst working.
Vallorbe Saw blades are sold in bundles of 12 (one dozen). Blade thickness 0.26mm. Blade width: 0.52mm. Blade Length: 130mm. Teeth per cm: 22. Drill size for piercing: 0.55mm.
Recommended for cutting metal: 0.6mm to 0.8mm thick.
Helpful Hints for Saw Blades and Sawing:
Check the tension of the saw blade before sawing, a loose blade will break easily and will not cut properly.
Choose a saw blade fine enough to have at least two teeth within the thickness of the metal you are cutting.
Use a finer blade when cutting curves than when cutting a straight line. Hold the saw frame in as vertical a position as possible and when sawing use long and even strokes.
When sawing a circle or curve turn the metal to the saw instead of trying to saw around the material. Hold the saw frame lightly, the motion should come from the elbow not the wrist.
For smooth cutting use a lubricant like Bees wax (998 018) or Burr Life (998 021).
Saw blades range from Size 4 = coarsest, to Size 8/0 = finest. Most commonly used size is 2/0 (medium).

This ring cutter is used to cut the shank of a ring while still on the finger.
The curved part of the plier is placed between the ring & the finger. Turn the blade with the butterfly key to cut the shank.
When the shank has been cut through the plier must remain in place to avoid the flesh being trapped by the cut shank.
Remove the cut ring using two pliers to pull open the ring to remove from finger. See code 999 102B for replacement blade.

Recommended for cutting metal: 0.5mm to 0.6mm thick.
