Again, this is not a basement, water infiltration is not an issue. If you have large gaps between the baseboard and floor or wall, you can use backer rod to fill the gap before applying caulk.

You can use any caulk gun, but I like this one because it is easy to use and easy to release the pressure to stop the dripping of the caulk.
