Get your coop set up for happy and safe birds
A great sturdy coop is a must to keep your feather babies safe. I prefer something higher off the ground and this does the trick.
Your going to want some extra protection for your coop because yes preditors will try to get in. I use Galvanized Steel Hardware Cloth covering the entire bottom of the coop to keep the bad guys from digging to get in.
Yes, the plastic feeders get the job done but they also can get tipped over and other critters like mice can get to the feed. With this, both problems are solved and everyone is happy!!
Most pre made coops will already have nesting boxes but if you opt to build your own coop this is a great option.
Now I like to use shavings myself for the nesting boxes but these are nice because they will not be able to kick these out like they do with the shavings.
