The classic full cabinet. Give plants the room to grow upward.

One option around the doors to help seal the cabinet for higher humidity. IF you choose this method and don't have an exhust, you should open you cabinet every few days for fresh air.
Weather Stripping Door Seal Strip, 5M/16FT
I use this, (get the white version if you have a white cabinet) around the edges of the glass inside to help with a seal. This will help create a high humidity. IF you choose this method, make sure to open you cabinet every few days for fresh air.

I typically use Leca at the bottom and then a leca pon mix for the rest of the pot. Depending on what the plant is, it may like more of one then the other.
Great for passive hydro. Make sure to rise them off before using.

If you plan on running cords through the bottom or back, you may need to drill through the metal. Here are the basic tools for the job if you do not already have them.
Basic drill, battery and charger. Ryobi brand is great for diy.

Choose the 50mm. This will work to drill a circle through the metal.
Luomorgo 50mm Hole Saw, 1.2 inch Cutting Depth
Choose 50mm size. This will protect the wires from the exposed sharp metal after making the cuts.
