The travel apps, sites and items to aid you on your globe-trekking
For your mainland Europe travel (not Ireland or the UK) I would recommend using Omio for booking your train & bus travel.
Rather than scratching your head trying to figure out the travel sites in France or Spain, using Omio will allow you the convenience to compare the various routes you can take across different providers.
Also if you are a student you can enjoy a 5% discount on your bookings.
Revolut is a digital banking app - It's biggest selling point is their currency exchange rates. On the standard plan you can exchange up to $/£?/€1,000 with no fees. After which you pay 0.01% fee and 0.01% fees on weekends. If you're going on a holid...
Rather than using TrainLine in the UK, I use TrainPal.

When it comes to travelling, I always turn to Rome2Rio for figuring out how I can get from A to B. It will show the various ways you can travel to your destination whilst giving you the time and rough cost of your journey.

I'm a light sleeper at best which isn't helped by the fact that my partner is a snorer and goes to work before me so I am constantly wearing earplugs.
You never know when you're travelling what sounds you'll be hearing when you're trying to get to sleep or if it's a party hostel where the bass never stops.
I use these wax ball earplugs, they don’t get lodged inside your ears like silicone plugs or they won't keep melting when they reach your body temperature. The manufacture says they are one use but I will give them a quick rinse and I will try to get...

If you find yourself bag packing or interrailing then a microfiber towel will be your best friend!
I know they aren't the most absorbent of towels but when space is limited I would always opt for it and face it the towels offered in hostels are generally not the best and, these will be perfect for any trips to the beach.
Invest in a reusable water bottle - there's no need to be senselessly buying copious amounts of plastic water bottles that you'll chuck as soon as you're done.
And no you don't need to bring a stanley cups on holiday!
