This place is sooo much fun! My kids love that we can feed animals right out of our car window. The walk through portion of the zoo is clean and the animals seem to be well cared for. There are live demonstrations every once in a while and there are ...

When you’re done visiting the Virginia Safari Park, make sure to swing by the Natural Bridge! One of nature’s beauty’s for sure. I would NOT recommend bringing a stroller as there are a decent amount of stairs on the trail leading to the wonder.

A small “beach” town with lots of fun! I’m partial to this little town over Virginia Beach because there is less traffic and still a tiny little “boardwalk” for that authentic beachy feeling without the drive to the ocean.
Colonial Beach

One of my favorite hidden gems in Gore, Va. This campground has over 3,000 acres of land to explore (including off road trails). If you’re not a big camper, fret not! The beach is open to day trip guests as well as most of the other activities offere...

A little underwhelming, im not gonna lie but my kids went absolutely nuts for this place when they were younger. It’s a cute little park path with dinosaur exhibits sprinkled about. I really liked the gift shop.

There are a lot of super cool caverns in Virginia, especially close to the West Virginia line. Luray caverns is probably our favorite just because of how expansive and in depth the tour is.

We’re not huge water park goers because of the crowds but when we do feel like going to one it’s usually this one.

This one may not be the best if you have super tiny children but it’s a family favorite here! We love the set up of this theme park as it’s a lot more immersive than *just* rollercoasters. Everyone can find some kind of fun within the “countries” of ...

If we’re talking theme parks in Virginia then this one is also a high contender! Again, probably not the best idea if you have small children.

This place is cool because there are technically two components to it. There is a paid section of trails with more access to gardens and such but also plenty of miles of free trails that have AWESOME art installations sprinkled throughout!
