This recipe is from bowlofdelicious.com titled Vegetarian Split Pea Soup. I like that you can use the Caraway 6.5 Dutch oven pot and the 10.5 inch lid that matches it to sauté the initial ingredients (the onion, celery, garlic, and olive oil,) and then make the soup. This recipe uses lemon and dill in lieu of ham/ ham hock. When I tried this out, I wasn't sure how it was going to taste. I have to admit I was leery. But let me tell you I was genuinely impressed and the lemon makes a world a difference. If you taste it before the lemon and dill a... I also added carrots to it. I highly recommend this soup.
