This list is composed of parks and outdoor fun in my area. Including Parks and playgrounds, dog runs and farmers markets among others.
Great little spot for a quick walk, skate boarding, basketball courts and playground etc. A few fountains to admire, somebody is always playing an instrument out there. Lots of food and bars right across the street. You may also find a food truck pa...
Tompkins Square Park
Peaceful little space makes you feel like you are not in the city. Long and narrow, it has a winding gravel path, rock garden, flagstone patio and many seating areas.
Creative Little Garden
This cozy corner is dog friendly and great for children. It features slides, swings and beautiful views.
Joseph C. Sauer Park
I think we are familiar with the center of 14 st. This centered spot between Union square East and West, expands from 14 st up to 17st. There’s everything going on here and features a farmers market and Christmas market.
Union Square Park
Mostly on Fridays. Not only will you find the best and freshest fruits, vegetables and ciders but also a great variety of artisan arts and home made art on display and for sale.
Union Square Greenmarket
Yes, Tompkins also host a Sunday farmers market can’t go wrong here.

This neighborhood spot features a free pool, picnic tables and grills. Basketball courts and kids playgrounds.

Restaurants
These are my go to when ordering or craving a quick neighborhood stroll.
This is the only Mexican Restaurant I order from. I've tried a few around the area but Paquitos is fresh, provides great portions and it is delicious. Their Nachos are off the hook. It's literally a hole in the wall maybe some out door chairs but it is worth it.
Paquitos
East visage Pizza is the real NY pizza in my opinion. Hot, Fresh, delicious and crunchy. They have a variety of other delicious gems like their cheesy meatballs and cheesy garlic knots. check out their IG, It's a fun tasty place.
East Village Pizza
When I crave Thai food, Hub Thai is what I crave. The drunken noodles are to die for. Don't forget to try the tea, especially the iced peach tea..yummy. I like the Thai vegetable rice and their crab ragoon.
Food Menu | Hub Thai | New York, NY
Let me tell you something about this place, it's the cutest most tasty Caribbean Latino place from East Village to the Lower east side(other side of Houston st) Its just beautiful, always packed but no surprise there they pack a lot of flavor in to t...
Casa Adela
Other Food & Drinks
I've been going here for maybe 5 years now. And every time my sister is in town it is our favorite spot to go have drinks, hookah and bar food while we chitchat. They play all kinds of music be it Spanish, hip- hop, and alternative. The music is loud... favorite drink from the menu.
Kazuza
Great place to eat and have drinks with a group of friends. At night it's literally like a Latin club. There is dancing, great music and vibes are lit.
Yuca Bar & Restaurant
You love live music? Go. Are you into tiki bars? Go. If you love weird and fun drink names and awesome atmosphere you have to go. This is a rare one in the area or in NYC for that matter.
Otto's Shrunken Head
Arts & Entertainment
The Abrons Arts Center is the arts-and-performance arm of the Henry Street Settlement, based on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The programming at Abrons spans many art-forms like contemporary dance, theater, music, visual art and performance art. Its fun, nice staff and very clean facilities.
Abrons Arts Center
Best way to describe this unique place in my opinion is experimental performance, blending theater, dance, music, visual art, performance art, especially work from historically excluded communities for example QTBIPOC, disabled artists. Its an amazing space to support this community.
Performance Space New York
This cozy, little 90 seat theater boasts an array of performances including, acting art, music and the most fun of all, the 10 minute acts. I recommend it, be it for a lazy night out with a close friend or your special one. you will love it.
