I lived in SATX for 2 years. Although, I didn't go out much, there were some places I visited and enjoyed.

Food
I tried several food places and didn't like most of them unfortunately, so I was put off on trying more and mainly ate at home. But these were the few places I really enjoyed.
I'm honestly mad that I didn't find this place sooner. I met the owner and she was super sweet and seems to love what she does. The food is made with fresh ingredients and all homemade/scratch made. The Chicken & Waffles is delish! Crispy chicken...
EliseCuisine
I am a waffle instead of pancakes kind of girl and their belgian waffles are delicious and love that it came with the jam on the side. Their juices are also good.

Better than Chipotle IMO. Burritos are HUGE and if you sign up with their app, you get a free burrito on your birthday and half birthday!

I am no taco expert and not sure how authentic this place is but it is good! & will satisfy my taco cravings for sure. I enjoyed their birria tacos and birria ramen.

Family Friendly Parks/Places
Our all-time favorite park. They have a large play area with splash pad, walking/biking trails, an adventure course, a kid’s biking track, skatepark, dog park, basketball courts, food trucks & more! We load up with sunscreen, towels, extra clothe...
Pearsall Park
Many things to learn & explore, we didn’t get to see it all and we spent a good few hours here. Love the little water area for the kids to play and cool off. They also have events, we went during their water event, and they had a lot of activitie...tiktok.com/t/ZT22dWK5X
San Antonio Botanical Garden | Private Events & Rentals | Classes & Camps
Has three large public parks in the heart of downtown which also has splash pads. Because it’s in downtown, they do get quite busy & packed! Best to go in the morning.
The kids absolutely loved the trampoline type slide at Yanaguana Park.
Play at Hemisfair
Learn the history of Texas through interactive tours and exhibits on their historic grounds.
The Alamo
Quite a drive but worth it! There’s a ton of attractions, photo ops, playground, sand pits, lots of grassy areas, food/beverage trucks, berry picking, flower picking, etc.
Rockberry Ranch | Pumpkin Patch, Fall Festival, and More in Poteet, TX
I didn't explore too much of the riverwalk because it reminds me of the strip in Vegas. It's the tourist spot so it's always busy and I don't like crowds but it's not bad if you catch it on a good day. Lots of sights to see, historic monuments, resta... rent some scooters, take a boat tour, etc.
San Antonio River Walk
Kid Activities
I think this is the perfect indoor playground for kids under 10. They have a section to play soccer, a section under the playground to ride mini cars, a dance room, and I like that they have the toddler section completely separate. (Although, older k...
Kids Empire - Play Big!
A museum for kids. A place we often visited because there's so much to explore & learn.
The DoSeum | San Antonio's Museum for Kids
A cute little, veteran owned indoor playground. Although, it's geared toward kids on the spectrum, they have open play time for others.
Kids Gym Indoor Playground | We Rock the Spectrum - Cibolo Canyons
My, then, 5 year old had lots of fun here. It's definetly more for older kids and big kids (parents).

My sis-in-law rented a condo here for the weekend and we came to stay with her for a day, and it was such a beautiful resort. Corpus Christi, just a 2-hr drive from San Antonio. This condo resort has a private boardwalk access to the beach just a 5 m...
