One of my standard go-tos near the Heights. Great Margaritas and very friendly staff!!! The Taco salad with fajita is amazing! Ask for some cilantro and fresh chopped jalapenos to jazz it up GOOOOOOD!!! You also want to ask for the green sauce…they will know what you are talking about.

When you hear “Raise the Flag!” This is what people are referring to. They once were a chain of restaurants in Houston, now there is only one left!! Go here before they take it away from us! It's a buffet and it's really good! I recommend getting fruit punch mixed with lemonade to drink. It pairs well with the food!

If you want a fast food hamburger combo, this is the burger place to visit. Whataburger is a Texas thing. Get root beer with your burger as, it pairs well! Also recommend the Sweet and Spicy bacon burger combo with a side of jalapeno ranch.

GET THE Charbroiled Chicken SPRING ROLLS!!!! Phenomenal spring rolls! Everything is very good! Open LATE!!! This is a great place to go people-watch if you are out really late and want a light meal.

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar …
Buccees is a Texas icon!!! Go get the breakfast tacos and gas in one place! Don't forget the sauce!!!! I recommend the Rhino!!! Yummmmm! Their BBQ sandwiches are also pretty good. Just FYI, Beaver Nuggets are puffed nuggets that taste alot like pancakes! A kettle cooked fun treat for all. Watch out, they are addictive! BTW: This place has the CLEANEST BATHROOMS!!!!

Easily THE BEST Chicken Fried Steak in Houston!!!! As big as your face! Get the Plowman's plate for a meal that is just the right size! Pair that with a house salad and the Mashed potatoes with gravy! The gravy is awesome! GET THE RANCH DRESSING on your SALAD. Served on a pizza pan!
Hickory Hollow Restaurant and Catering
In my opinion, Luby's is the place to eat if you have picky eaters in your group. This is a steam-table lunch line which has country cooking done right. Luby's has been around for a really long time. Their food is really good, or I wouldn't be reccommending it.

This was once a popular hotdog place in Houston. Following 2020, many of their restaurants closed, only to leave a few left. If you want old fashioned hot dogs with chili and cheese, this is the place to go in Houston.

Did you say seafood? This place is a popular restaurant in town. It is a little pricey, but the amount of food you get it BIG. I normally get the Seafood Platter and I have leftovers. Super good!!!!
