A paint type marker most known brand would be Posca. They’re great because you can layer them and not really worry about having lines so much. You can draw or color over other colors when they dry without them mixing.

Colored pencils
I don’t use them often but they can be great when you want a softer looking piece of art. Some brands you can blend the colors like the brand prismacolor. Whereas other brands you cannot blend the colors.
These colored pencils are actually one of my favorites. Especially because of how vibrant the colors tend to be and they don’t look dull.

I have only ever had a couple of colors I bought individually mainly due to the cost of them. They are very expensive. But the brand is really good the colors I had were a soft not so vibrant. But I haven’t used them in about 5 years.
