Okay, so this beyond just the metro area. I'd say all these places are within an hour of Detroit. But Michigan has so many coffee shops, I didn't want to leave so many good places off the list!

dose. detroit
Great location and the aesthetic was relaxing and whimsical. I got a specialty latte which I believe was a pecan crunch (wonderful) and I was really impressed by the flakiness of their chocolate croissant.
The Siren Café
They have fun coffee flights that change with the season and the food I tried was excellent as well!
Mia's Bakery & Coffee Shop
Dearborn
I add this to the list, because even though they only have a few coffee options right now (with possible expansion), the coffee is AMAZING. Plus the couple who runs the store is so friendly. They love sharing their history, and encourage you to try a...
RAOUCHE Roastery
Stopped by for an iced coffee on an 80° day. Ended up getting a iced Biscoff latte and it HIT the spot. I mean, I love those little cookies and they captured the flavor perfectly. Can't wait to go back and try some food!
Dellah Coffee & Brunch House
Ann Arbor/Ypsi
This has become one of my new favorite go to spots. Great drinks, everything is halal, and you can order online for easy pick up. It been a grandslam since opening!
Stimulatte Cafe
Vertex has locations in Ypsi and Ann Arbor but I've personally been the the Ypsi location. Love this as a remote working spot that I can meet up with friends. The Smokey Mochey has become a recent favorite of mine, and their Italian sandwich is incre...

This Yemeni shop was the first place I had beef bacon, which I got on my “make your own” breakfast sandwich and I was FLOORED. Also, I usually don't like breakfast sandwiches on bagels because it can be dense, but this place just gets it right. Add t...
Rawaq Cafe
I love this shop. The desserts are always so good and I love the vibe. It's got convenient parking as well!
Socotra Coffee House
A coffee shop with a standard espresso drink menu, and a display of baked good, sit in what used to be an auto repair shop. I love grabbing a cappuccino and one of the biscotti that are right by the register. They also have a big indoor seating area ...

Great spot right off of I-94 (exit 172). So many cool food options and their macaroons were the most flavorful I've ever had.
Tous Les Jours Ann Arbor
Plymouth
A small little shop but I really enjoy their seasonal drinks. In the fall they've had a campfire latte, with a toasted marshmallow. Admittedly, I always end up right before I go to the butchershop next store, or the nail salon down the street.
Espresso Elevado
I usually end up here in warmer weather while shopping downtown Plymouth. I've always enjoyed their iced drinks to cool things down.
Plymouth Coffee Bean
A few more places
I think this place in Belleville is so cute. It seems to be a small converted house into a shop so in addition the the kitchen, there are rooms for sitting. Its got convenient parking and in addition to its coffee, I love the sausage burritos.
Crafted Beanery & Gift Shop
Over in Saline. Lots of specialty drinks and a solid panini menu. Even better, only place I've found that makes a great fall chai-der. Easy parking and online ordering available!
Brewed Awakenings Café
Right in downtown Saline, perfect place to stop while walking around (maybe doing some shopping nearby). I loved that while I was there I also saw a calendar of events like Trivia and Euchre nights.
