Travel First Aid Kit Must Haves
I travel a lot, and I'm also a pharmacist. These are some of the items I always pack in my suitcase, just in case.
First Aid Supplies for Travel
Great for headaches, fevers, or other pain.
Use for muscle aches, pains, and sprains.
Just throw in your carry on and have all the meds you need without a bunch of bottles.
A must for motion sickness
Treats stomach upset of all kinds, not for use in children.
Who knows what kind of allergies you will be exposed to when traveling
If I'm going out on a boat or on a really curvy road I always wear these to help with motion sickness.
If you get really bad motion sickness, this is a GAME CHANGER! Ask for a prescription from your doctor before your trip. I try to put mine on the night before I know I will be needing it.
I always keep sunscreen on hand, I especially like this dry touch by Neutrogena.
Use this for sunburns, bug bites, and you can even on hemorrhoids in a pinch.
A heart attack doesn't happen when it's convenient. Chew 4 of these when you start having chest pains, especially when you're in the middle of nowhere and it will take a while for someone to get to you. *Children should not use aspirin"
Use this on dry cracked skin, as chapstick, or high friction areas to prevent blisters or rashes.
I like to keep this in my hiking bag
A lot of people have constipation when they travel, this has a stool softener and stimulant laxative in one.
There's nothing worse than being trapped in an enclosed space like an airplane or vehicle and having gas.
Multiple sizes and waterproof, tuck a few of these in your bag.
Perfect soap for on the go when you don't know when you will be able to wash your hands again. Also great for washing cuts and scrapes before putting a bandaid on.
Keep this on hand for sprains.
You don't need anything fancy, but you probably want one, especially if you have kids with you.
Narcan saves lives in an opioid overdose. If you use opioids, I highly recommend having one of these on hand. Children get into EVERYTHING.
Have a wound on the arm or leg that is bleeding profusely? Use a tourniquet between the wound and the heart to slow the loss of blood.
These deodorant wipes are perfect for when you can't bathe, or you've been on an airplane all day and need to freshen up.
Keep bugs at bay without the chemicals
Small & easy to keep a couple in your bag for emergencies
No need to worry about the sanitizer leaking while you travel with these.
Stay hydrated with electrolyte powder
Easily remove splinters or ticks with the tweezers. Use the scissors for anything that needs cut.
These packets are perfect for a bag. Use hydrocortisone cream on rashes, bug bites, swollen skin, or eczema patches to help with itching and swelling.
These are my favorite, but any cough drop will do.
This is the non-drowsy counterpart to Benadryl.
Pack this as tightly as you can into any puncture wound you have and head to the hospital

Some kiddos can't take tablets, add these liquids to your first aid kit if you're traveling with kids.
Great pre-measured containers for pain or fever
Use this for allergies, rash, allergic reactions.
Use this for a kiddo that gets motion sickness.
Pepto cannot be used in kids. This is a great alternative.
