MUST-DO VIEWS🌄

These are the hikes I recommend if you are  up for a challenge and want those really worth-it views!  You will find a  mix of steady climbs and tougher trails, but will have the  “”this was so worth it""  feeling at the top. NOTE: These are not  beginner hikes. If it is your first time, please do it with an experienced hiker.

My FAVOURITE trail in Canmore.  It is great for 3am hike to watch the sunrise.  This is a intermediate hike.  Make sure you have good hikers on, and be aware of the weather before you go!  Its a leg burner, but sooooo worth it!  Sometimes it is very windy at the peak… DO NOT stand close to the edge.

A wonderful moderately‑challenging hike with panoramic mountain views and fewer crowds than some of the more famous peaks nearby. It’s a great option if you want scenery without the intense steepness of a peak climb. HAPPY HIKING!!
Highline Trail - Kananaskis Country

Easy & Accessible🚶‍♀️

These are the trails I reach for when I want something simple, peaceful, yet still very scenic. ( Truthfully, , no matter where you are in Canmore, it is scenic)  These hikes are easy to follow, not too intense, and perfect for a slower day outside or if you just want to get out, move a little, and enjoy the views without a big climb.

This is downtown Canmore… take your family on this hike!  No hiking boots required… runners or sandals. It is a casual hike on level ground.

This is a spectactular and very popular trail in Canmore.  This is another trail that is doable for kids and active elderly people.  The Glacier lakes are gorgeous. (there are two), and you can watch the rock climbers in their glory.  If you choose to go HIGHTER than the lakes on this trail- it is recommened you wear a helmet. It is very rocky with risk of falling rocks.

The Three Sisters” Mountains in the heart of Canmore, represent three spiritual figures. They are understood to symbolize: Harmony,  Balance,  &  Connection to nature and spirit.  The mountains were (and still are) seen as a sacred part of the land’s living story and a place tied to respect for the natural world.  Great trails…. big and small!  Go on the All Trails App to view the trails. Note:   The smaller trail is good for families with children or active elderly if you want to take the family along!
