My 2016 Vizio had two HDMI ports and zero apps that still worked. Plugged one of these in and suddenly I had every service loading in seconds like it was a brand new set.

One of my TVs literally had no HDMI port. Just RCA jacks from 2009. I almost gave up until I found converters that actually worked without weird lag or color problems.

The speakers on my 2016 TV sounded like someone talking through a paper towel tube. Dialogue was impossible to hear without cranking the volume to 90, which then blasted every explosion scene through the walls.

My router sits in the front room and my bedroom TV is three walls away. Every streaming device I tried would buffer constantly until I fixed the actual Wi-Fi dead zone instead of blaming the stick.

At one point I had four remotes on my coffee table and none of them controlled everything. My girlfriend refused to watch TV alone because she couldn't figure out which remote did what.

Every streaming stick came with a cable, every soundbar added another one, and suddenly the back of my TV looked like a bird's nest. Took me a weekend to get it all tidy but now it looks like a professional did it.

Small stuff I didn't think about until I needed it. A backlight strip, a better ethernet cable, a remote holder. None of these are flashy but every one of them solved a specific annoyance I kept ignoring.
