Last year I bought a cheap set and half the bulbs died by December 12th. Replaced them mid-season like a fool. These are the ones that survived an entire winter without a single burnout.

My first year doing pathway lights, I used incandescent everything and my December electric bill made me physically flinch. Switched to LED the next season and barely noticed a difference on the bill.

Half my front yard has zero access to an outdoor outlet. Running extension cords across wet grass felt like a terrible idea, so solar was the only real option for that stretch.

Pathway markers are great up close, but from the street they kind of disappear. Adding a few taller candy canes near the entrance made my house visible from half a block away.

Candy canes alone left dark spots between stakes. Running warm white string lights along the walkway edge filled those gaps and made the whole path feel continuous instead of dotted.

Plugging and unplugging lights every night got old by December 3rd. A timer changed everything. And cheap extension cords that weren't rated for outdoor use nearly ruined my first Christmas lighting attempt.

The first windstorm of December sent three of my candy canes flying across the yard. Found one in my neighbor's driveway. Now I anchor everything properly and nothing has moved since.
