Back to School must-have's for Elementary Kids 2024
I have two kids in elementary school and these are the things I'm getting to prepare for an amazing school year this year!!!
Backpacks and Lunchboxes
My daughter begged for this backpack! I'm thinking about adding iron- on letters for her name to make it personalized! It would also be perfect for embroidery!
I bought this for my nephew and I can't wait to get all the matching accessories too!
Target has SEVERAL $5 backpacks this year!! I scored one for my niece-- she's starting preK like a big girl, with a big girl backpack!

Listen, my kids have been in public school for a minute now – trust me on this some things are NOT worth spending alot of money on, and this is one of them. Get the basic plastic box in a color they like and then when they break it you won't feel bad...
I will be purchasing this for my nephew to go with his matching shark backpack! Kids love a cool lunchbox and snackfoods for lunch are THE BEST.
You had me at SPILLPROOF because there is literally nothing worse than having to clean their backpack, their school supplies, and their pants because their lunchbox leaked everywhere!
My mom used to write me notes in my lunchbox and I love the idea of doing the same for my babies – these are SO cute and I can imagine them loving getting to scratch off a note everyday!
Clothing Basics
Getting my son some back to school basics – these shorts are amazing and the Cat and Jack brand is THE BEST. You can take them back even with holes!
My girl hates Jeans- so we go with leggings! I try to get some basics – black, grey, navy, etc. – along with a few fun patterns!
Baby girl LOVES a good flare legging because she wants to match Mama! Plus she needs to be comfy too!
Boys basic tee's – I always stock up because my kids are hard on their clothes!
Cute, fashionable – and most importantly cheap, because she is 6 years old and she's going to ruin them eventually!
Basic shoes that go with everything, and are easy to put on! Plus quick for those mornings we're running late getting out to the bus stop!
Waterbottles
I will be adding stickers and a vinyl name because my kids have a tendency of leaving/losing their things at school!
My kids both need personal waterbottles for school everyday – these are cute, simple, non spill, and dishwasher safe!! I'm going to add their names with vinyl or add stickers so they don't get easily switched with other students!
I have the big version for me and I got the smaller version for my niece!! this is my FAVORITE waterbottle of all time!!!
At home stuff

I use the shampoo on my kids for everyday protection but at the first warning of a lice outbreak I spray this directly on their heads/necks as they go out the door!! Would also be great to use in their hats before hat day!!!
Teaching my children good habits starts early! But I also want to make sure I'm making healthy choices for their future – this checks both boxes for me.
