These are my personal favorite pizza joints in Chicago (and some in the Chicagoland area). While the world believes Chicagoans only eat deep dish, we are traditionally a tavern style city! Interesting fact: tavern style or cracker crust originated in the 30's & 40's during the Great Depression was served in Chicago bars and taverns to entice patrons to drink more and stay longer!
